Draft Decision Notice and Final Environmental Assessment (EA) available

The Draft Decision Notice and Final Environmental Assessment (which includes a Finding of No Significant Impact, or FONSI) have been prepared for the Reservoir Forest Health Project. These documents, along with supporting information, are available online on the Eldorado National Forest project webpage at the following links, under the Analysis tab:

https://www.fs.usda.gov/project/?project=54828, or https://www.fs.usda.gov/projects/eldorado/landmanagement/projects

The Reservoir Forest Health Project has been developed to implement forest health, fuel reduction, ecological enhancement, and transportation management activities on approximately 16,649 acres in Crystal Basin and Atherton Flat areas of the Pacific and Placerville Ranger Districts of Eldorado National Forest in El Dorado County, California.

The information on the project webpage also contains important information about the public’s opportunity to object on this project.  The legal notice will be published on Friday, January 22, 2021 in the Mountain Democrat (the newspaper of record).  The Forest Service will accept objections regarding the proposed decision for 45 days following the publication of the legal notice.
